A parallax is a distance, and a distance with a direction is a place. This is every star the register holds close enough to have one, looked at from above the plane of the Galaxy, with the Sun at the centre and the Galactic centre off to the right.

Colour follows the spectral class — blue-white O and B stars are hot, orange and red K and M dwarfs are cool and make up most of the neighbourhood, which is the point. Dot size follows apparent brightness. Drag to pan, scroll to zoom, click a star to open its card.
